A young, local bull rider will be competing next week at the world finals mini-bull championship in Texas. Keller Lasley, a seven-year-old boy, developed an interest in bull riding at a young age and started with mutton busting. He joined the Kentucky Junior Rodeo Association and eventually began riding mini bulls and competing in world championship miniature bull riding. Keller finished number one in the Double-T cattle series this year, qualifying him for the world championship. The Lasleys, Keller's parents, also qualified 19 of their own bulls for the world championship.
